After Cubed, comes Flipped. Fortnite's Chapter Three Season One started with a slow rotation and brought a bushel and a half of new mechanics, weapons and more.
Fortnite's Chapter Three kicks off its Season One with a flip of the script, an inverted Island and more. The start of the new season saw the game's landscape change with the introduction of a second island and three biomes.
The biomes and locales
Fortnite's new biomes are divided into a winter wonderland, cosy tropics and definitely-not-lacking-in-interesting-places dessert. The new biomes conceal a secret hidden beneath the snow but the players will need to be patient to find out what the intrigue is all about.
Players will be welcomed into the new season by some new things that go pew-pew. The new weapons are as follows:
- Ranger Assault Rifle
- MK-Seven Assault Rifle
- Striker Pump Shotgun
- Auto Shotgun
- Sidearm Pistol
- Stinger SMG
- Hunter Bolt-action Sniper
Fortnite players can now go camping and, on a separate note, score a Victory Crown. The camping feature will see the players assembling tents that can be used for healing up or storing up to three items (two item slots available for free, the third one can be rented for Bars.) The Victory Crown goes to the best of the best in a previous match. Players will wear the crown during the next match which will make them a prime (and a very visible) target on the field.
Players will be able to slide downhill but that's not what we're here for. Spider-Man's Web-Shooters will become available on December 11 at 15:00 GMT (10:00 AM ET). The item can be used to swing heroically on buildings, including the brand new Daily Bugle offices in the tropics biome.
