Epic Games love to tease out upcoming Battle Pass skins and never fail to generate oodles of hype. Fortnite's Season 8 is just around the corner and players can look forward to a Carnage Battle Pass skin.
There are a precious few guarantees in life: you have to pay taxes, you will die, and Fortnite will always feature skins from upcoming movies and stay hip with the pop culture. Teasers for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 Battle Pass have come and gone and we are privy to the information that Anime, Unicorn and Space chimp-themed skins will be arriving in Fortnite this upcoming season. Still, the teasers had one more announcement up their sleeve.
Fortnite Season 8 - start date and time
Fortnite's Season 8 will kick off today, September 13, 2021. The update that starts the new season should be rolled out at around 9:00 a.m. GMT.
Fortnite Season 8 teasers
Season 8's teasers each brought a piece of a QR code: a fact that that one Twitter sleuth figured out and got rewarded with an unlisted video on the official Fortnite YouTube channel.
Carnage in Fortnite - teaser video
The nine-second teaser trailer shows bits and pieces of the alien Symbiote. A bunch of data miners maintain that the red stranger is Carnage while the others believe the apparition has something to do with Stranger Things. We'd personally place our bets on the former, as Venom: Let There Be Carnage will reach the US theatres on October 1.
Those still arguing that Carnage will pop up at the item shop could also be wrong as Epic always teases out images of the upcoming Battle Pass skins. Either way, the wait won't be long now as Fortnite Season 8 drops in a few hours.
