Many players remained sceptical about a first-person mode with Fortnite's in-game mechanics. However, with the booming popularity of the Zero Build game mode, players started leaning towards a first-person mode. Rival first-person battle royale titles such as Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone's popularity made Epic Games finally consider the aspect of a first-person mode.
