Fortnite is currently embroiled in the Fortnitemares event which gave rise to the ruler of the Cubes. The Cube Queen's wrath is now spilling over onto the Island and no one is safe.
The arrival of The Cube Queen
Get ready to see some big changes on the Island, courtesy of The Regular Hexahedron Monarch. The Cubes have been mobilising for a while now, and their journey towards the heart of the Island had an ulterior motive: they are setting up for The Convergence.
Those tired of fighting the Cube Monsters will start seeing new foes in Caretakers, a legion of The Cube Queen's strongest warriors to date. Caretakers' large physique is the least intimidating thing about them as they can pull the players directly into The Sideways for a showdown on their home turf. However, they can be defeated and doing so will see the players walk away hauling many rewards.
The Queen's arrival also had the happy side effect of introducing more Sideways weapons to the game. We have the very new, and very sinister, Sideways Scythe as well as some returning items such as Witch Brooms and the Pumpkin Rocket Launcher. All this new hardware will help you hold your ground against the Caretakers.
The return of the Horde Rush
Horder Rush is back, now with the Cube Monsters, waves of enemies and one Final Boss. Players can team up and join the good fight at multiple locations on the map, survive the onslaught and eliminate as many monsters as they can. Score multipliers and combos will be available, but you'll need to take down the Final Boss if you mean to win.
The Horde Rush LTM
The Horde Rush LTM will be live from October 19 at 13:00 GMT (9 AM ET) to November 2 at 13:00 GMT (9 AM ET).
You can also expect the appearance of Horde Rush Quests with special rewards. Players can unlock the Thinking Juice Back Bling, a Cube Queen Banner, and the Cuddle Scream Leader Spray.
A Horde Rush Tournament will also take place the week with more Locker items up for grabs. All squads are welcome to practise before the big day. More details about the Tournament will be available soon.
