Over on FCC Database, first real images of a real PlayStation 5 console, DualSense controller and box contents have emerged. Judging by the photos, PlayStation 5 will be one
Earlier this week, Sony have finally revealed the price and opened pre-orders for their next-gen console PlayStation 5. And as we wait to hear even more details about the console in the upcoming weeks, a bunch of new images have appeared over on FFC ID, the information resource for all wireless device applications filed with the FCC.
The photos confirm what everyone already assumed - PlayStation 5 is one big boy, much bigger than it's main competitor Xbox Series X. As you can see from the images in the Twitter thread, PlayStation 5 also comes with a separate stand for both horizontal and vertical placement. However, it's safe to say that it looks much better when placed vertically.
The photos do not reveal a closer look at the SSD slot on the console, which would explain just how easy or hard is to access and replace the drive. Guess, we'll have to wait more to see how exactly will this work.
Sony are officially launching PlayStation 5 for $399 and $499 on November 12, 2020, in the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. The global rollout will continue on November 19 with launches throughout the rest of the world.
