Insider reveals that Call of Duty Warzone 2 map will have more similarities with Blackout than with the original Warzone.
Call of Duty Warzone 2 should be launching sometime after this year's Call of Duty, which is expected sometime in November. Call of Duty Warzone 2 is rumoured to be built fully for the current-gen systems and PC and will be integrated in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II.
The details about this free-to-play battle royale are still pretty scarce since the release is not that close but insiders have been dropping some interesting tidbits lately, revealing first info about the map design and layout.
Insider Tom Henderson reveals that the new Warzone 2 map looks more like Call of Duty Blackout than Call of Duty Warzone in terms of its design.
"To be honest, the new Warzone 2 map looks more like Blackout than it does Warzone in terms of its layout. It's going to be interesting to see how all of this plays out," he tweeted.
Here's how the Blackout map compares to the Warzone map
The Blackout map certainly is much different than the most recent Call of Duty maps, mainly due to its openness and lack of big, dense city areas. We still don't have the details about the setting of the new map which would give us an idea of what to expect so until Activision decide to reveal those details or leakers share the info, there's not much to talk about when it comes to the new map.
Call of Duty Warzone 2 is expected sometime in early 2023.
