Activision will reportedly drop the first teaser for the rumoured Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 later this month. The official reveal is still coming in May 2022.
Call of Duty games are usually announced in May and it looks Activision will follow the tradition with the next title, which is rumoured to be a sequel to Modern Warfare 2019. Before the official title reveal, though, it seems that Activision plan to tease the reveal, at least that's what Call of Duty insider Ralph is suggesting on Twitter.
Apparently, the first teaser for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2022) will go live on April 30, 2022. Given that Activision always have some kind of mystery-solving events and teasers before the official reveal, this is not surprising at all. It only remains to be seen if they start dropping clues on this particular date.
The insider also reiterated that the full reveal of the game is still scheduled for May 2022 so expect to hear the first details shortly after the teaser.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is rumoured to be revolving around Colombian drug cartel wars and will mark the return of some familiar faces like Ghost, Soap, Captain Price and Roach.
Recently, we got the first mockups of the game's logo, which features a classic green tint from the original Call of Duty games.
On top of this, we got info regarding a brand new mode named DMZ, which is reportedly something similar to Escape From Tarkov and Battlefield's Hazard Zone.
All in all, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 sounds pretty exciting judging by the leaks and could once again break records in both sales and player count numbers, just like its older brother, the 2019's Call of Duty Modern Warfare.
