Final Fantasy VII Remake, in development by Square Enix, is getting a playable demo on PlayStation 4. The action RPG title will fully launch on 10 April 2020, but PlayStation owners of the world can get their hands on a playable demo today.
The demo is now available for download from the PlayStation Store. The Final Fantasy VII Remake demo will give the players a taste of what's to come through the opening chapter from the game, and the events of the Mako Reactor 1 bombing mission.
In addition, those who download the demo before 11 May 2020 will get a neat little bonus - an exclusive PlayStation 4 theme. The theme will become available when the full game launches next month.
Final Fantasy VII Remake will transport its players into a world where the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy organisation, controls the planet’s very life force. There, Cloud Strife, a retired member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his support to an anti-Shinra group calling themselves Avalanche.
The first game in the project is set in the city of Midgar. The game was imagined as a completely standalone experience designed for RPG players who enjoy unforgettable characters, a powerful story and the ability to choose their style of play with a battle system that joins exciting real-time action with strategic, command-based combat.
You can download the playable demo for PlayStation 4 now via the PlayStation Store. Final Fantasy VII Remake will be available for PlayStation 4 on 10 April 2020.
