EA have expanded their Stay Home. Play Together initiative with a shiny new website that makes it easier to see all the ongoing events with their games, with the latest one being the FIFA 20 Stay and Play Cup.
EA reminded that they miss football as much as we do, which is why it's perfect timing for something special, even if it is in social isolation.
"That’s why we’re bringing together 20 professional footballers from 20 of Europe’s most historic clubs in the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Stay and Play Cup, in support of Global Giving’s Coronavirus Relief Fund", they wrote.
EA will also be donating $1 million to help support immediate and long-term relief and recovery in all the communities affected by the pandemic.
As you'd expect, the FIFA 20 Stay and Play Cup will be broadcast via EA's Twitch channel, which include Twitch Drops rewards for just viewing.
So, professional footballers from 20 renowned European clubs will be competing, with specific names revealed as we draw closer to kick off. Official kick off time is 15 April at 9am PT/5pm UK/6pm CEST., with the finals on 19 April 2020.
The clubs are as follows:
- England: Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur
- France: Olympique Lyonnais, Marseille, PSG Germany: Dortmund
- Spain: Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, Valencia
- Portugal: Porto Italy: AS Roma
- Netherlands: Ajax, PSV Eindhoven
- Sweden: AIK, Djurgården
- Finland: HJK Helsinki
- Denmark: FC Copenhagen, Brondby
We're talking about a single-elimination knockout tournament in a one-leg 1v1 match with 85-rated squads. Draws are handled by extra time and penalties.
EA will be donating $1m to Global Giving's Coronavirus Relief Fund, andn player are naturally welcome to join in with own donations.

Play together", the publisher wrote on the Stay and Play website .
