Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game today got its fourth season, packed with new content, improvements and bug fixes. The season is live now across all platforms and here's everything it brings.
New Maps and Locations
The star of the show is The Tatras, a gorgeous autumn mountain region that's seen better days after a recent flood. You'll be tackling two new maps - Owl Lake Ridge and Cat's Spine Ridge - plus two sprawling cave systems and an indoor location. That's 27 expeditions, 24 contracts, and 20 tasks to sink your tyres into, featuring swamps, floodplains, steep cliffs, and fast-flowing rivers that'll test your mettle.
Fresh Vehicles and Specialists
Four new trucks join the roster: the G&S Caravan A1, Shiba Dart SR-V, and ANK XM75 in the paid content, plus the free TUZ 93 Kelpie for everyone. Two specialists shake things up considerably - Philip de Fitchent lets you customise airdrop contents, whilst Alicia Silverwood deploys terrain objects via drone.
Portable Bridge and Tow Rope Gadgets
The portable bridge and tow rope are brilliant additions that'll transform how you approach obstacles. You can now build bridges over previously impassable gaps and connect trucks with winch points for proper convoy action. There's also a new barge quest mechanic where you'll winch these hefty vessels through water obstacles - proper old-school problem-solving.
Quality-of-Life Improvements
The semi-automatic gearbox has received a complete overhaul with a proper 5-speed manual mode, custom gear ratios, and independent controls. You can now mark favourite vehicles for easier access, and the camera sensibly switches to third-person when you're wrestling with the winch.
Critical Bug Fixes
Saloondor Studios have squashed some proper annoying bugs. The Vault #4 expedition in Sedona is now deployable, yellow snow spots are gone (finally!), and vehicles won't mysteriously teleport their suspension arms into the shadow realm anymore. The pre-trade window exploit has been patched, and consumables won't clip through your Haukka NS-420.
Season 4: Amber Dusk is available now for Expeditions: A MudRunner Game across all platforms.
