EVE Online: Invasion Chapter 2 will be free to download for all players once it arrives. It will bring new features with it, such as Shareable Bookmarks which is one of the highly sought after mechanics requested by the community. The bookmarks will allow pilots to share locations in New Eden with anyone they deem worthy while controlling access and duration.
The Triglavian theme continues with Chapter 2 as Zirnitra, the new dreadnought vessel will be introduced with the launch. It features the Entropic Disintegrator weapon and is said to be a "challenging adversary" for Capsuleers. Full ship mechanics are yet to be revealed though.
CCP Games are also pushing harder for the acquisition and retention of new players. They are improving the new player experience in the first hours of EVE Online. Furthermore, the developers announced dedicated initiatives to engage the game's core player base with new additions that should appeal for both novices and veterans.
Still, according to Bergur Finnbogason, EVE Online's creative director, Chapter 2 will put even more emphasis on the promise of meaningful choices with lasting consequences. This approach may interfere with their intention to engage the newer players but it's not impossible that CCP will find a way to appease both sides.
As a cherry on top, CCP are inviting players back to Reykjavik, Iceland for another Fanfest in EVE Online's birthplace, starting on 2 April 2020. It will feature the grand final of the EVE Invasion World Tournament along with the more regular activities from these events, such as parties and hanging out with fans. Sign ups can be done on the official .
