ZeniMax Online Studio’s Game Director, Matt Firor announced that ESO's Greymoor Chapter and Update 26 will ship out later than anticipated. The delay is caused by the fact that the dev team is currently working from home.
The Elder Scroll Online's upcoming Update 26 along with the Greymoor Chapter will ship around a week after the previously planned release date, said ZeniMax Online Studio’s Game Director, Matt Firor in his recent post on the game's page.
The Game Director mentions that the team has been working from home since 16 March and, right now, they are on track for the PTS to be updated with Update 26 and Greymoor on 20 April. This date is not set in stone, however, and is subject to change if the devs happen to run into unexpected issues.
It should also be noted that, since France is on a work lockdown, the team was unable to record the Frech actors' lines for Update 26 and Greymoor. The new content will still have French text and subtitles as normal but the voice-over will be in English.
There are no plans to re-open the French studios at the moment, so there is no telling when the voice-overs will be ready to add to the game. Firor reminded everyone that it takes 2-3 months to record and update the game with VO for a Chapter.
Matt Firor concluded his post with the message:
"These are trying times for all of us, and we are doing everything we can to stay on track. Please stay safe and healthy and enjoy getting away from your daily life for a bit by adventuring in ESO - and wash your damn hands."
The Elder Scrolls Online is currently 60 per cent off on Steam
- the promotion will end on 15 April.
