Keen Games has officially revealed that Enshrouded 1.0 will release on Thursday 15 October 2026. This will bring the survival RPG out of Early Access and release the full game on PC and PlayStation 5. Xbox Series X|S owners, unfortunately, won’t be able to join their friends just yet.
The studio announced via Twitter that the Xbox release has been delayed until Spring 2027. Keen Games CEO Jan Jockel said more time is needed to ensure the game meets their performance expectations on Xbox consoles.
“In looking towards launch, we realized that we would need more time to achieve our quality and performance expectations on Xbox,” Jockel said. “Development is going great, and we’ll have more news to share about our Xbox release date and plans in the coming months.”
A new trailer reveals some of the new content players can expect when Version 1.0 releases. A large floating island appears to be one of the biggest additions. Supported by towering stone pylons, it floats high in the sky and is connected to the ground by several platforms. Presumably, there will be a whole new area for players to explore when Enshrouded 1.0 launches.
New locations aren’t the only thing on the docket for Enshrouded 1.0. Keen Games mentioned a number of major tweaks that should improve the game across the board.
The studio says newcomers will benefit from an improved onboarding experience, and players on all platforms can expect optimisation improvements.Adventure Sharing tools are being expanded in this update as well.
New logic gates, traps, and enemy spawners will allow players to fine-tune their custom worlds with more flexibility than ever before.Combat will see some enhancements too. Enemy types will be expanded, and existing enemies will utilize smarter AI to make battles feel fresh.
