All things Bethesda and Zenimax are going through various promotions these days and Elder Scrolls Online is not an exception as it will be fully playable for free for a limited time.

QuakeCon normally brings great discounts along but this time it also produced a free to play event for Elder Scrolls Online . The popular MMO is allowing new players to try everything it has to offer at no cost but keep in mind that the duration of the event is limited as freeplay will end on August 30, 2021.

This leaves you a lot of time to give it a shot, provided you were interested in ESO but not sure if it's worth the money, as two weeks should be enough to figure out whether this MMO is for you or not.

Keep in mind that it requires a huge download and will eventually take around 100 GB of your disk space. As for the rest of the requirements, ESO is actually pretty light and rigs from five to 10 years ago should be able to run it.

Another thing you should be aware of is that after the free period expires, ESO will require purchases of the base game, multiple expansions and has subscription benefits and microtransactions on top of that.

If it's all fine with you, just hop over to the ESO steam page and click the Play Game button which will commence the download and allow you to enjoy various regions of Tamriel.
