Dragon Ball FighterZ's open beta is scheduled to start in January. Fans who pre-ordered the fighting game will be granted early access. Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch soon after the open beta concludes.
Fans of Dragon Ball Z needn't wait much longer to play the all new Dragon Ball FighterZ. You see, the game's open beta is set to kick off on 14 January (dates and times are waiting for you at the end of this article). Everyone who pre-ordered the game will get to play it one whole day earlier.
The upcoming fighter game by Arc System Works will have the usual four button combat system, with light, medium, and heavy attacks. The fourth button will be mapped to projectiles.
A fresh addition to Dragon Ball FighterZ will be the homing attack - a nifty little mechanic that'll be used to quickly dash towards the opponents in order to dispatch them with a combo. A super meter will be implemented to keep a reasonable cap on your super moves and other special abilities usage.

You'll be able to charge this meter in a number of ways: the first way is to beat up your opponent or get beaten up yourself. The other way to juice up the super meter is to scream at the top of your lungs, because that's the Dragon Ball way.
A speed and damage boosting technique quite similar to the X-Factor in Marvel vs Capcom 3 will be present in the form of the Sparking Blast. You'll be able to use the technique once per match. The Sparking Blast can be used in offence and in defence.
Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch on 26 January for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
