With a few more months left until Doom's upcoming instalment hits the proverbial shelves, id Software and Bethesda have released a teaser showing one of Doom Eternal's new and most formidable enemies - Doom Hunter. Worry not, he won't bite.

Okay, we can't really vouch for the not biting part as Doom Hunter seems like quite a toothy fellow, but it's obvious from the start that this is not where his true bite lies.

According to the trailer, Doom Eternal's new enemy has been recreated after thought to have been extinct, and being a hunter and all - the prey he's looking for is you.

Doom Hunter packs an arsenal for both long-distance fighting, thanks to the homing rockets, and up-close-and-personal melee fighting, courtesy of the fiery chainsaw he wields.

Doom Eternal's new baddie packs all that on a large DoomTM biomechanic frame, and he moves around thanks to the hover-pads.

Touted as one of the most formidable enemies in Doom Eternal, all that's left for fans is to make sure that the finisher from 1:11 is performed to the end.

Nevertheless, the main star of the trailer is not Doom Hunter, or even the player himself, but rather the hectic and bloody gameplay that's coming with Doom's upcoming instalment.

Bethesda and id Software recently rolled out a trailer detailing Doom Eternal's multiplayer mode called the Battlemode. The mode has players playing as demons or demon slayers, in an asymmetric multiplayer.

Demon slayers come fully loaded with guns, mods and equipment, managing health and resources by blasting through hordes of demons.

Battlemode players replenish health by glory-killing demons, get more ammo by chainsawing them, while setting them on fire grants armour.

As for the opposing side, Doom Eternal's Battlemode will have five playable demons - Revenant, Pain Elemental, Mancubus, Arch-Vile, and Marauder, each with their own, unique set of abilities.

The trailer suggests there will be plenty of fun to be had with Doom Eternal, which is slated for launch on 22 November 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia.
