Fury is going portable soon as Darksiders 3 now has release date on Switch, bringing all the games from the series under Nintendo roof.
Darksiders 3 will release on September 30, 2021 , on Nintendo Switch. This version will cost $39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99 and will include Keepers of the Void and The Crucible DLC.
Considering this is a full game along with post-launch content for a price lower than that of a AAA title, it is still a decent pickup, even though Switch is lagging three years behind other platforms.
For those not familiar with the series, each Darksiders game has the players adventuring with a different Horseman of the apocalypse. The first game had War, the second one had Death and it was only the third game that started with the characters not usually seen in the not-so-merry quartet.
Darksiders 3 features Fury, the agile Nephilim who utilises a whip as her main weapon. The game is built as a Metroidvania of sorts since previously unreachable spaces will be open for business once you progress through the game enough and acquire new tools.
Additionally, the third entry in the series gave up on the loot elements the second one introduced and is more in line with the first game as a proper hack 'n' slash title.
