One of League of Legends esports' most successful coaches, if not the single most successful one, kkOma, is returning to LCK to coach the current world champions.
Damwon Gaming and T1, formerly SKT T1, have been amusing the trend of swapping coaches it seems as the triple world champions acquired DWG's coach last season, which didn't turn out too well, and now it's the other way around.
Technically, Damwon are not acquiring T1's coach but their former, and most successful one. Kim "kkOma" Jeong-gyun is one of the founding members of T1, then known as SKT T1, the breakout Korean team from 2013, He went on to win three world championship titles with the team, becoming one of the most famous individuals of League of Legends esports scene.
He has now joined Damwon Gaming, the reigning champions of the world, which may sound a bit odd to the onlookers. The team looks good and it appeared as if the organisation is trying to fix something that's not broken.
However, the official announcement reveals that the current coaches, Daeny and Zefa, wished to terminate their contracts. DWG obliged the request and then acquired kkOma as replacement.
The coach swapping between the two teams doesn't stop there as DWG's duo joined T1 on the same day along with Polt, who was earlier rumoured to join the team.
If all the coaches manage to work their magic in the coming season, we could be looking at one of the strongest LCK performances in LoL esports during the year, possibly even beating the track record from the one where they just won Worlds.
