Infinity Ward have shared a new story trailer for their upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The trailer is jam-packed with epic moments, explosions and good amount of backstory.

In the last couple of months, Infinity Ward and Activision have been mostly talking about the multiplayer in their upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Those who are excited about the singleplayer campaign didn't get many details apart from the news that Modern Warfare's campaign will be one of the most brutal and controversial in the Call of Duty franchise.

The developers even said that they took the inspiration from the mission "No Russian" in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which put players in the boots of an undercover agent who participated in a mass shooting at a Moscow airport to gain the trust of a Russian terrorist group.

In the latest trailer, which finally reveals the game's story, we did not notice anything similar to No Russian but you can bet that there is a lot of other explosive, nerve-racking and epic moments, which is something that players certainly expect from Call of Duty story.

Judging by the trailer, the fan-favourite character Captain Price takes the main role as he tries to intervene in a civil war but as you expect from these kinds of stories, things quickly spin out of control and the deady chemical weapons fall into the wrong hands.

In the announcement, Studio Narrative Director at Infinity Ward Taylor Kurosaki said that the team worked with consultants from the CIA, the United Kingdom’s Special Boat Service, and former Navy SEALS to bring the most realistic Call of Duty singleplayer campaign to this date. "We didn’t just talk gameplay with them, we asked about the burdens they carry, or the common themes that play out for the men and women who serve," Kurosaki explained.

Additionally, Activision revealed a pre-order bonus which contains the XRK weapons pack with an M4 assault rifle and XRK .357 handgun. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is hitting the shelves on 25 October 2019.
