Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has received excellent content drops since its launch last year. Sledgehammer Games took over the messy ruins of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and reworked that for Modern Warfare 3. They have fixed almost every issue with the previous game starting with the movement mechanics.
Another big complaint players had about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was the lack of new and original maps. Sledgehammer Games took it upon themselves to fix it by creating original 6v6 maps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 which are going to be added to the game as a part of the Season 2 content drop.
All New 6v6 Maps in Season 2
Sledgehammer Games has plans to introduce four new maps into the current roster, with three of them arriving with the Season 2 launch and one scheduled to be released with the mid-season or Season 2 Reloaded update. Here's a look at the new 6v6 maps:
Departures (Launch)
A part of the Zakhaev International Airport, Departures is the newest core 6v6 map from Sledgehammer Games. Larger in scale than Terminal, the map is based on the classic three-lane approach. With varying escalations throughout the map, except to catch your opponents off-guard from sneaky angles.
Stash House (Launch)
A Sledgehammer Games original, the new Stash House map rolls into the small map roster alongside Shipment, Rust and Meat. The new map has a Bay Area theme and will be available for both 2v2 and 6v6 game modes. It's safe to say that the new map will instantly become a fan favourite thanks to its compact size and map layout.
Vista (Launch)
Welcome to a Brazilian mountaintop resort with gift shops, restaurants, and trams, the new Vista map is a three-lane map with tight interiors and long-range exteriors. With longer sightlines, this map will be a haven for longshot challenges while camp grinding in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Das Haus (Mid-Season)
The infamous Call of Duty: Vanguard map Das Haus makes a glorious return in Season 2. The new rendition of the map is positioned beside the High Rise map. While the classic Das Haus had a claustrophobic feel, the remastered one features a more open feeling. Moreover, the lighting on the map has finally been fixed.
Sledgehammer Games has been dishing out great content since the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and it's safe to assume that these maps will be the best part of the Season 2 content drop.
