Activision's shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is still number one on UK physical sales charts. Ubisoft's Viking adventure Assassin's Creed Valhalla and EA's sim FIFA 21 follow closely, though.
According to the latest market data from GfK , almost 900,000 game consoles were sold in the United Kingdom during the month of November 2020. Of course, this also means huge game sales and in terms of boxed copies, around 2.38 million games were sold in the UK last month.
Interestingly though, Switch games were the most popular of the month, accounting for nearly 35 per cent of all games. The biggest new release is Activision's blockbuster shooter Call of Duty Black Ops Cold which took the top spot despite selling significantly fewer boxed copies that the previous game in the series - Call of Duty Modern Warfare. The majority of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War sales are coming via digital download.
Ubisoft's Viking-themed action-adventure Assassin's Creed Valhalla follows closely while EA Sports' sim FIFA 21 is in third. Here are the top ten best selling games (physical only) for the week ending on November 28 according to GfK:
