Activision have officially confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Alpha the most downloaded PlayStation 4 alpha or beta in the history of Call of Duty franchise.
This year's Call of Duty is coming a bit later than expected but it's still one of the most anticipated shooters of 2020. Today, Activision revealed just how popular Black Ops Cold War alpha test on PlayStation 4 actually was.
The publisher confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War alpha was the most downloaded PlayStation 4 alpha or beta in the history of Call of Duty franchise. This means that ever since the alpha and beta tests became standard practice for the game, no game managed to attract the number of players of Black Ops Cold War.
This is certainly a surprise since Modern Warfare was one of the biggest Call of Duty titles in the last decade but it looks like players are excited about the upcoming title too.
If you didn't get a chance to play Black Ops Cold War alpha earlier this month, you'll be happy to hear that Activision will host a PlayStation 4 beta very soon. It's officially kicking off on October 8, 2020. The cross-play beta, which includes PC and Xbox One will start a week later - on October 15.
