Treyarch have rolled out a minor Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 update, adding a Nuketown featured playlist along with a double XP and double XP weekend. They also promise a plethora of changes in the game's upcoming update, 1.12, due next week.

Let's get the current update out of the way - Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 multiplayer will grant players double XP and double the weapon XP until Monday, 28 January at 10 am PT / 06 pm GMT. The game's Nuketown featured playlist will be available until the same time on 29 January 2019.

That's pretty much it as far as this Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 update goes but Treyarch are already listing the changes coming with the 1.12 update, which is expected to launch next week.

First up on the menu are Blackout changes, specifically to armour, concussion and cluster grenades. It seems that Treyarch are still far from finished with armour balancing as the 1.12 update will nerf armour's damage reduction across the board.

Moreover, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's next update level will further nerf 3 armour, which will no longer grant additional protection from explosions and melee atacks. Armour plate requirements for repairing level 3 armour will also be increased.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Zombies mode is getting a major weapons arsenal shake up, with as much as five new weapons coming to the mode. We're talking about the MP 40, Grav, Daemon 3XB, SWAT RFT, and KAP 45, all of which will be added to the mystery boxes on all Zombies maps and the Armory.

Treyarch also announced the return of Blacjack "with an updated selection for this special take on Gun Game, now featuring the KAP 45 full-auto pistol in the mix."

As for the rest of the next week's additions, we're looking at Ambush limited time mode in Blackout and IX Gauntlet in Zombies, both of which will initially launch only for PlayStation 4 consoles. It will also add regional Blackout playlists for Blackout players in lower-populated server regions, camo progression in Blackout and a bunch more.
