Bobby Kotick has been the person many fans of Activision Blizzard games wanted gone for a long time now and it appears that his term at the company might actually come to an end.
Gaming enthusiasts all over the world were stunned by the announcement of the Activision Blizzard acquisition by Microsoft and as soon as they collected themselves, the first question on almost everyone's mind was "Does this mean Bobby Kotick will be gone from the company?". The answer is that most likely he will but definitely not immediately.
Microsoft's announcement of the acquisition didn't explicitly say Kotick would be gone but their wording certainly hinted at it. The acquiring company stated Kotick would remain with Activision Blizzard until the deal is closed. This process is expected to conclude during FY 2023, which ends with the start of July 2023.

It wasn't until WSJ sources stated Kotick would indeed wrap up his era in Activision Blizzard once the acquisition goes through that certainty of the situation started to seep in. The sources remained anonymous as they were not authorised to disclose this information at the time.
