Blizzard folks have announced that Overwatch Anniversary is kicking off on Tuesday, 21 May 2019. It will last until 10 June 2019 and there will be a free week included from get-go with a high chance of a 50 per cent game discount.

Overwatch's official Twitter has posted that the game's birthday party is kicking off next Tuesday. It didn't go in-depth with the festivities though but if the past events are anything to go by, there will be plenty of new skins and those available in all other previous events will be purchasable again.

This includes the recently-finished Storm Rising event from Overwatch Archives 2019. While the other legendary skins have been discounted from 3.000 to 1.000 coins, it is unlikely that Storm Rising's new skins will go down as well as they were introduced mere weeks ago.

On the bright side for fashionistas, when they log in during the event, one Legendary Anniversary loot box will be waiting for them, guaranteeing at least one legendary item.

There will be reportedly six new Legendary skins coming for the event, three Epic ones and three dance emotes - for Baptiste, Ashe and Wrecking Ball. The hamster seems to be getting a lot of love from Blizzard lately as he also received a rather dramatic highlight intro along with an Epic skin with Storm Rising.

Potential players who might be interested in trying Overwatch out can give the game a field test starting from 21 May 2019. Overwatch will be free to play for a week, until 28 May 2019. While it's not confirmed yet on the official website, these free weekends and weeks are followed by 50 per cent discounts so in case you decide to grab the game, it would be wise to buy it half the price.

Players are hyped for Overwatch's third birthday party and are anxiously waiting to see the new content from the but oddly enough, Blizzard didn't showcase any skins or the emotes yet, just two days before the event starts.
