Black Myth Wukong, the upcoming action RPG from Chinese developers Game Science is now being developed on Unreal Engine 5. The devs also showcased 15 minutes of gameplay on the new engine.

Black Myth: Wukong took the internet by storm when Chinese developer Game Science revealed their title in August last year. This action RPG with souls-like elements and spectacular-looking boss fights is set to launch sometime in 2023 but the developers have been sharing a ton of gameplay footage from the game, showcasing stunning locations and combat.

Today, we have another lengthy gameplay video, which gives us a first look at new biomes and enemy types. It's safe to say that the game looks better every time Game Science drop a new video, which is certainly promising. The video is also 4K/60FPS which hints at great optimisation.

Speaking about performance and visuals, the devs confirmed that Black Myth: Wukong will support Nvidia's ray-tracing and DLSS technology, as well as Dolby Atmos. Given that the game will be a proper eye candy thanks to ray-tracing, it's good that the DLSS tech is also implemented to boost frame rates.

In case you are not, Black Myth: Wukong is based on the classical 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West and it follows Sun Wukong or Monkey King, who possess the special ability to transform into flying insects or giant monsters.

Black Myth: Wukong is scheduled to release in 2023 on consoles and PC.
