Beat Games have announced that Beat Saber will be leaving Steam Early Access at some point during the week starting on 20 May 2019. The official launch will come with the long-awaited Level Editor and a 50 per cent increase in price.

According to the official announcement on Beat Saber's Steam Community Hub, the game will be officially launched and leave Early Access "next" week. Given that the announcement happened on 14 May 2019, the transition will likely happen between 20 and 24 May 2019.

The official launch will come with one of the most anticipated features - the level editor. This feature was promised a long time ago by Beat Games until they went radio silent. The developers acknowledged their lack of communication on the matter and explained that the delays happened as they weren't sure which version of the level editor to implement or when to implement it.

Ultimately, the settled on releasing it when the PC version left Steam Early Access. It will go live with the official release and it will have a simple 2D interface so players will not get overwhelmed.

Once the feature lands, players will be able to create levels of their own audio tracks which was usually handled by mods up until now. This is especially important since mods have been a hot topic in Beat Saber's community for a while and came to a boil with the early April EULA change.

If you take a look at Beat Saber's reviews, you will see that 93 per cent are positive but the users who left mostly cite the EULA change that prohibited mods as the reason of their disapproval.

One note that could potentially hide in the left by Beat Games is that Beat Saber will cost 50 per cent more when the official release comes along. It will no longer be $19.99 / €19.99 / £15.49 but rather $29.99 / €29.99 / ~£23.49.

Devs have also reassured players they will not abandon Beat Saber after release, promising more DLC tracks in the future.
