EA has revealed the full content lineup for the Battlefield 6 open beta, confirming two weekends of action-packed gameplay with multiple maps, game modes, and more. In case you've missed the briefing, the early access portion begins on August 7, while the first public weekend kicks off on August 9.
Battlefield 6 Open Beta Maps and Modes
The beta will be split into two major testing phases with different content:
Weekend 1 (August 9-10)
Maps:
- Iberian Offensive
- Liberation Peak
- Siege of Cairo
Modes:
- Conquest
- Closed Weapon Conquest
- Breakthrough
- Domination
- King of the Hill
Weekend 2 (August 14-17)
Maps:
- All Week 1 Maps
- Empire State (New map debuting in Week 2)
Modes:
- All Week 1 Modes
- Rush
- Squad Deathmatch
- + more
The second weekend expands the beta’s offerings significantly with the return of Rush, a fan-favourite objective-based mode, and Squad Deathmatch, which focuses on tighter, team-based skirmishes. Empire State map, set in New York, brings a new urban combat environment into the mix.
With four maps and at least eight game modes confirmed, Battlefield 6 is looking to deliver quite a rich beta experience. Let's hope it's well optimised too, so it's doesn't turn out into something that no one can play due to server issues or game bugs.
Players can already pre-load the beta on PC, PS5, and Xbox, with early access going live on August 7. A full open beta launch is expected shortly after.
