Battlefield 2042's technical playtests seem to be going well. A Reddit user who, at the moment, goes by "u/itotallyworkforea" has shared a video depicting the game's main menu.

Battlefield 2042 's limited playtests have kicked off today and, despite the strict NDAs, we already have a leaked video of the game's main menu. The video was uploaded to Streamable and shared on Reddit.

Technical playtests for Battlefield 2042 started on August 12 and are scheduled to go on until August 15.

Access to the technical playtests was given to a selected group of Battlefield veterans, who agreed to strict NDAs. Recording gameplay, grabbing screenshots or streaming the entire experience is out of the question, but u/itotallyworkforea still went ahead and shared their video.

The playtest sessions are scheduled to be three and nine hours long, which will give the players a total of 24 hours of game time.

Those disappointed they didn't get a go at Battlefield 2042 during this round of tests can rest easy knowing there's an open beta coming up in September. More details about the open beta will be shared a bit later in August.

Battlefield 2042 will officially launch on October 22, 2021. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
