Ubisoft have announced their latest DLC for Assassin's Creed: Origins will be available for all platforms on 13 March 2018. Named The Curse of the Pharaohs, it leads you to Thebes where you're put up against seemingly invincible mummies.

Assassin's Creed series is taking you to another interactive, somewhat twisted, history lesson. This time it is in Thebes where Bayek comes in order to investigate an artifact in the Valley of the Kings. First thing he stumbles upon, is of course an eerie creature that resembles a decayed corpse but it's made of sand.

Ubisoft have promised a new map full of surprises and as per the game's habit, it will show players several monuments that are famous in real life. These include Valley of the Kings with the tombs of Egyptian royalty, which will apparently be a plot point where Bayek walks around culling the restless spirits of the deceased pharaohs.

These tombs will apparently take you to each of the pharaohs' afterlives which are open worlds themselves as well. Other landmarks that can be visited include the temples of Karnak and Luxor.

Shadows of the Pharaohs are the eerie creatures I mentioned earlier and will present on of the toughest opponents in the game. They will keep reappearing throughout the storyline, becoming stronger each time. Bayek's level cap has been raised to 55, but Ubisoft have promised that encounters with these beings will be challenging even for high level players.
