From Software's mech shooter Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon showcases dynamic and action-packed combat and boss battles in the latest gameplay trailer.

Bandai Namco just released a brand new gameplay trailer for Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, which gives us a closer look at the combat, certain bosses and mech customisation. The trailer, which is over 13 minutes long, also reveals a first look at some of the regions in the game, including a large desert biome with a massive industrial complex.

The trailer certainly does a fantastic job of showcasing why this will be one of the biggest releases this year, even though it may not be as hyped as Starfield, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 or other heavy hitters.

We were particularly impressed by the boss fights, which seem to have that From Software souls-like touch, bringing a challenging experience regardless of the power of your beloved mech.

In addition to this trailer, we also got some extra details about the game. The game will be 50 to 60 hours long, which certainly seems quite long but not surprising given that From Software traditionally love longer titles.

On top of that, the developer promises large and more vertical environments and enemies that will get more aggressive as you drop their health. We will also get a huge variety of weapons and customisation options that can change how your mech feels on the battlefield.

As for the performance, on PC, From Software have promised a native 120 FPS support, which is a first for the team, who usually lock their games to 60 FPS unless you're Bloodborne. The game will also feature ray tracing in the Garage but not in the open world.

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon launches on August 25, 2023, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
