Apex Legends Season 6: Boosted launches real soon and the patch notes revealed a bunch of interesting stuff, like all armour being Evo and the R99 meta going bye-bye.
We hope R99 enthusiasts like the new SMG, for which Respawn wrote, "The first energy-based SMG to see regular use in the Frontier, the Volt allows its operator to fire a salvo of energy-based ammunition, decreasing drag and making it possible to hit multiple targets within a short window."
As we said in the title, all the Apex Legends armour is now the Evo kind, and players spawn with a level 0 Evo Armor. So, if you get in fights a lot and win a lot - you've nothing to worry about when it comes to suiting up.
Picking up any armour except the gold version is basically picking up a pre-levelled Evo Armor. Red Armor can only be acquired by levelling it up, and the Gold Armor is found in rare locations, so no change there.
Season 6: Boosted introduces a crafting system where players find materials throughout the map via loot bins or material stations, and then use it at the Replicator.
"In the Replicator, you’ll find eight different pieces of loot that you can craft, if you have enough materials. Some of this loot rotates on a weekly or daily basis, but you’ll always be able to see what’s currently craftable in the game mode selector or the map screen", Respawn wrote.
Respawn added Extended Energy Mags and the Turbocharger Hop-up, and while the Precision Choke was removed, it now comes integrated into the Triple Take and Peacekeeper - use fire select to activate it.
