Amazon's MMORPG New World is now free to play on Steam until Monday, April 11, offering players a chance to try everything the game has to offer.
New World is free to play right now on Steam. Amazon announced that their popular MMORPG will be available to all Steam users for free download from today until Monday, April 11, 2022.
The free weekend will include all content from the game including the most recent updates so you'll get to try most of the content that the game has to offer. We're saying most since you probably won't be able to reach the endgame content in just a couple of days.
Once the free weekend wraps up on Monday, players will be able to jump in right where they left off by purchasing the game, which will be 40 per cent off until April 18 at 10:00 AM PT / 07:00 PM CET.

The free weekend is certainly one way to attract new players and since New World in its early stages is quite fun, we won't be surprised at all if plenty of those who tried the game end up buying it.
New World definitely needs an influx of new players since the game currently peaks at around 30k players on Steam, which is a massive downfall from nearly one million concurrent players on launch a couple of months ago.
Recently, Amazon offered a look at the 2022 roadmap which includes plenty of new content so hopefully, this and the free weekend will be enough to bring in new players.
