Awesome Games Done Quick will return in early 2023 and the organisers have revealed all the necessary details if you want to tune in or participate in the event.

AGDQ 2023, the winter portion of GDQ, is kicking off on January 8 and wrapping up a week later on January 15, 2023.

This time around, the charity of choice is Prevent Cancer Foundation so the proceeds from donations are going towards a hopeful future where cancer is not the issue it is today.

Once again, the event will be held in online-only form due to the potential dangers of Covid-19 and concerns about the safety of LGBTQ+ individuals in Florida, which was initially meant to be the host state.

The venue was originally planned for AGDQ 2021 but the pandemic got in the way of the event and it appears no other location was secured for AGDQ 2023, as a result of the high costs of the cancellation fee with the venue in Florida.

While organising the event online is cheaper, the organisers are still in the minus so they will be looking to recover the costs through Twitch subscriptions.

For those who wish to participate in the event, submissions for games and volunteers will open up on September 11, 2022, and run for 10 days, until September 21. The second round of game submissions will be from November 6 to 12, with only new games being eligible.
