It looks like we're getting a brand new Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic game, if the latest rumours are correct. The game is reportedly in development according to a well-known Star Wars leaker Bespin Bulletins.
LucasFilm Games are not messing around lately. With two major announcements in Ubisoft Massive's open-world Star Wars game and Bethesda's Indiana Jones, it looks like the company have started to push the development of new games quite aggressively.
On top of this, the publisher will now allow several developers to use the Star Wars licence, which was not the case previously as only EA had the right to work on such games.
Today, we have some brand new rumours regarding a new Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic game, which is reportedly in development.
The rumour comes from Bespin Bulletins , a well-known Star Wars leaker who previously accurately revealed info regarding Star Wars: Squadrons, Star Wars: Battlefront and other franchise-related content.
Interestingly, another reliable source from the gaming industry, Jason Schreier, said that EA is not the studio behind this new Star Wars Kotor game. He added that the fans of the game will never guess which studio is on the helm.
"There is a Knights of the Old Republic project in development somewhere, I talked to a couple of people, including Jason Schreier, and it's not with EA. We will never guess who the studio is. It's happening somewhere, it's happening," Bespin Bulletins said in the podcast.
Whether this is true or not, no one knows at the moment so we suggest you don't take it as gospel. It could be true though. Kotor is one of the most popular Star Wars games of all time and LucasFilm Games would certainly want to capitalise on that.
