We can already assume how the latest tweet by famous skater Tony Hawk came about, seeing as how it does more than hint at the reason. It starts off with "To anyone asking me to 'remaster' old games", which was enough to make us chuckle.

FIFA 18 is celebrating two consecutive weeks at number one on the UK sales chart. Grand Theft Auto V has climbed back to second place last week. Activision's Call of Duty: WWII rounds off the top three.

Overwatch's upcoming hero could be Torbjorn's daughter form Honor and Glory

After teasing Emre Sarioglu and Dr Harold, Blizzard have doubled down on Operation White Dome. This time, we got a letter sent by an injured Torbjorn to his pregnant wife. The letter informs her that Reinhardt will be the girl's godfather.

Overwatch has teased a new hero, just in time for the Uprising event

Overwatch has started teasing a new hero. Hero 27 could go live in the game at the end of March, just like Orisa did in 2017. Overwatch's Twitter account shared a photo of a declassified report that mentions a new name - Emre Sarioglu.

Activision released a new trailer for Call of Duty: WWII's first DLC. The Resistance will feature three new maps, one new Operation and a continuation of the Nazi Zombies story line. PC and Xbox One players will get the DLC in March.

Twitch giving away items to Overwatch League viewers but charging for Twitch emotes

Twitch's reward system will start giving away League Tokens to viewers who tune in to Overwatch League's Stage 2. The tokens can be used to purchase in-game skins. Additional skins and Twitch emotes are available in exchange for Bits.

Sledgehammer Games' founders, Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield, have decided to leave the studio in Aaron Halon's hands. The duo took Activision up on their offer of "new executive duties" within the company. Sledgehammer Games was founded back in 2009.

Overwatch is hosting a Puppy Rumble, an event inspired Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl and the game being in the middle of Lunar New Year celebrations. A teaser showing puppies dressed as Overwatch heroes has been shared on the game's Twitch channel.

Overwatch's Year of the Dog event is going to have a map dedicated to the CTF game mode. The mode's rules have been somewhat revised and last year's draws will not be making a comeback. The CTF competitive season will reward the top 500 players with a special spray and a player icon.

Activision Blizzard's revenue from "in-game net bookings" reached $4 (£2.90) billion for 2017. Half of the money came from Candy Crush operator, King, and the other half came via their PC and console titles. EA reported $787 million in what it calls "live services" for the latest quarter.

Sweden might ban loot boxes by 2019

Sweden has joined the legislative battle against loot boxes. The minister of civil affairs, Ardalan Shekarabi, suggested the mechanic could be banned by 2019. A study from the University of Hamburg prompted the German Youth Protection Commission to also take action.

Overwatch skin changing update

Overwatch's Year of the Dog event kicks off on 08 February 2018. Along with the new map dedicated to Capture the Flag and the new Legendary skins, Blizzard has added the option to choose a different skin for your hero just before the match starts.
