Once Sophia and Leni reach the island in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, their next challenge will be figuring out how to actually get inside it. It's a less straightforward path with a lot of things there to confuse you, especially in the beginning, but thankfully you have Sophia's notes, which are filled with clues left behind by the plunderers who came before them, as well as her father Alec.
Finding the gap in the cliffs
Right when you get to the island, you’ll see a large doorway which is obviously locked, as well as a lot of openings in the cliffs. The notes will tell you that you need to look for a specific gap in the cliffs, one which is close to a tree.
At the beginning of the cliffs which is closest to the door, you need to climb up a bit and follow the path, making your way past one tree and then another one, until you arrive in front of a small gap. Jump over it and you'll find yourself in front of a small opening you need to get through.
Locating the climbing spot
After passing through a small cave, you'll end up in a small, open area that has a short hill in the middle. The next thing you need to do is make your way up that hill, and locate a tree that has branches almost interwoven together, forming an opening between them. Your notes tell you to look through that opening, and if you do, Sophia will see a spot on the cliff where she can climb up using her grappling hook.
Make your way towards the cliff and with the use of your grappling hook, climb to the top of the cliff. Afterwards, make a right turn until you see an opening taking you down through a small cave and allowing Sophia to get to a lower cliff, with a tree trunk in front of her. Pushing that tree trunk down will allow her to help Leni climb up, and they can proceed to the next area.
Following the symbol on the ground and finding the columns
After you reunite with Leni, make your way to the right and through a small gap, which will bring you in front of a large symbol on the ground. Your notes will tell you that it is supposed to give you direction, and while standing in the middle of it you’ll see arrows pointing towards the path you need to take next. Sophia needs to follow the direction that the large symbol is pointing towards, as that will bring her to the next clue from her notes.
At the end of the pathway, you’ll see the two columns from your notes which means you’re on the right track. Since you can’t climb up right there, you’ll need to take a left turn and after a little parkour section, you’ll be next to the columns. Your notes are also telling you that you need to jump over the gap, from one column to the other, and doing that will allow you to get closer to entering the island.
Locating the watchtower
Sophia and Leni will then end up again in a small open area, filled with trees. You'll soon notice a red masthead from a ship, but you can't do anything with it right away, it comes into play later. Now you need to locate another set of ruins, smaller ones, which could resemble a window. It will be to your left as you walk into the open area, and when you climb up to it, Sophia needs to look through it until she spots a watchtower that is in front of it, surrounded by normal looking trees.
Finding the hidden trapdoor
Make your way to the watchtower and with the grappling hook, climb up to the top where you'll notice a circle made out of branches. In order to progress, you need to align the circle with the fallen ship masthead that is beneath you until you form a cross, which marks the spot.
Go down behind the masthead, where Leni is waiting for you and dig through the sand to find a trapdoor you can take.
Jump down through the trapdoor and make your way through the tunnel, climbing a ladder until you’re in front of a new set of ruins. Afterwards, take the path to the right and follow it until you reach a narrow opening where a short cutscene will play before you can move on through a cave. After making your way through the old, abandoned settlement, you’ll find yourself inside the island and Sophia and Leni can continue their journey.
