Pokemon GO's Community Day featuring Duskull is now over and we can start getting ready for the big Halloween two-part event that's coming up on October 15.
Halloween in Pokemon GO is a serious affair and there's a massive themed event coming up in a couple of days. Spooky shenanigans of the holiday will pair beautifully with the Season of Mischief and this year we're getting double the trouble with the planned two-part event.

Pokemon GO Halloween Mischief
Pokemon GO's Season of Mischief will continue to play out and will coincide with the Halloween event.
The Halloween Cup will be available in the GO Battle League .

Special Research story - What Lies beneath the Mask?
Ghost-type Pokemon will be appearing more than usual. Professor Willow gave you the assignment to learn more about the spectres as Yamask starts appearing in the wild.
Timed Research
This Pokemon Go event staple will be available with tasks focused on participating in the Halloween Cup in the GO Battle League.

Part 1: Creepy Companions
Starts on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. and ends on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
The first part of the celebration will focus on Psychic- and Poison-, type Pokemon. These include Galarian Slowking, the Hexpert Pokemon (making its Pokemon GO debut) and a Shiny Spinarak.
Season of Mischief Special Research Story Unlock
Misunderstood Mischief will be unlocked during the first part of the Halloween event. Complete this Season's Special Research you'll get to go on and take part in a special event that'll be taking place at the end of the Season. Who knows, it might have something to do with Hoopa.
Pokemon originally discovered in the Galar region like Galarian Slowking are turning up in the world of Pokemon GO. As a result, Galarian Slowpoke will now be able to evolve into Galarian Slowking: set a Galarian Slowpoke as your buddy, and catch 30 Psychic-type Pokemon. You don't have to rush as this evolution will be available even after the event comes to a close.

Pokemon GO Halloween Part 2: Ghoulish Pals
Friday, October 22, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. until Sunday, October 31, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Starting on October 22, the second part of the Halloween extravaganza is called Ghoulish Pals. As the name implies, it will be the time for the Ghost types to shine. Pumpkaboo and Phantump, and their evolutions, Gourgeist and Trevenant, will be making their first rounds in Pokemon GO. Complete a Collection Challenge to look for even more Ghost-type Pokemon.
Special Research Story Unlock
Get ready for Misunderstood Mischief. Completing this Season’s Special Research story will grant the Trainers access to a special event at the end of the season. It might even have something to do with Hoopa.
New Size Mechanic
Pumpkaboo brings a new mechanic to the game: Pumpkaboo that are larger will actually look larger in Pokemon GO.
Collection Challenge
We'll be celebrating the new size mechanic with a Collection Challenge that will have you running around collecting Pumpkaboo of various sizes.
