How to solve an EMF puzzle
Following your conversation with Hank at the post office, you will learn about the significance of the cables and equipment in and around the nearby buildings. Proceed towards the left side of the post office, where a sizeable structure awaits. In front of this building, you will notice a time tear.
Activate your radio's frequency metre and adjust the frequency until the controller vibrates, indicating the correct setting. Maintain the radio on that frequency, and the time tear will open, allowing you to proceed.
Upon entering the tear, you will observe the year 1220 displayed on the screen, signifying a time long before the mine's opening. However, your objective is to access the period when the mine was operational but had not yet collapsed.
Leave the tear and ascend the ladder located to the left of the large building. On your left, you will find the cemetery, and upon inspecting the tombstones, you will discover that all individuals passed away in the year 1882. Proceed in the opposite direction, and you will encounter an enigmatic EMF machine. This device permits the input of a numerical value ranging from zero to nine. Enter the number eight and press the confirmation button to proceed.
Descend the ladder and proceed to input the number eight into the second EMF booster adjacent to the tear. Subsequently, re-enter the tear and observe the altered scenery, with the displayed year now reflecting 1880. If you have successfully executed the correct sequence, the mine will be accessible, allowing you to advance in the story.
