Oxenfree II: Lost Signals is a delightful 2D adventure developed by Night School Studio whose captivating storyline is bound to impress you, regardless of your preferences for this genre of games.
While you won't encounter any overwhelmingly intricate and unsolvable puzzles, there will be some that will challenge you significantly and demand a bit more effort to solve.
In the early stages of the game, you will encounter a challenging puzzle that requires you to break the first loop in order to continue with the story. If you find yourself struggling with this puzzle, here is a helpful solution to guide you through it.
How to break the first loop
After Riley opens the mysterious portal and finds herself back at the beginning of the game, she becomes disoriented and sets out to discover the correct path to escape this new predicament. After multiple attempts, she encounters the first puzzle machine, which holds the solution to breaking half of the loop.
In order to solve this puzzle, you must arrange three geometric shapes, each represented by a different color. Use the left and right sticks on your controller to align the shapes perfectly with each other. Once you have successfully completed the puzzle, you will find yourself back at the bus station, but this time the scenario will have changed.
Now, proceed to the stairs situated to the right of the bus station. Ascend the stairs and immediately turn right to cross the bridge. Pay close attention, as the second machine is discreetly positioned behind the fence on the bridge and may not be easily noticeable.
The complexity of this puzzle is heightened compared to the previous one, as it involves four different directions for moving the shapes. Begin by holding the left stick downward until the shapes undergo a full rotation and transition from being blurry to becoming clearly visible. Once visible, employ the same strategy utilized in the first puzzle to align the shapes. Upon successfully aligning them, the loop will break, allowing you to proceed with the story.
