Lace is one of the early game bosses in Hollow Knight: Silksong that you'll need to beat if you want to progress the story. Luce is a small, agile and very tricky boss but it's not overly demanding so you probably won't be stuck with her for hours.
How to beat Lace in Hollow Knight Silksong?
Lace has some fast combos and can be really punishing with her fast counterattacks. My first tip would be to always keep your distance from her and use her aerial and dashing attack to your advantage.
When you spot Lace positioning herself to do either of these attacks, try to have some distance so she can't reach you, but enough so you can put in some strikes.
For the aerial strike, the key is to make Lace strike behind you, as that will automatically give you the chance to hit her from behind.
Another key advice for the first part of the fight is to be careful when striking her, as she will often block or parry your attacks and can unleash a devastating, quick combo attack.
I've found that using the aerial dash ability to quickly move around her and hit her can be a solid strategy. Basically, jump to her right, strike, then jump to her left and strike. Rinse and repeat.
When you damage Lace enough, she'll add a new combo attack that is fairly easy to avoid. You'll notice this attack as a white glowing circle with a star in the middle. Basically, you want to stay out of that circle as Luce will only strike there.
This is another strike that you can use to your advantage - as soon as her combo is done, get closer to hit her a couple of times.
