Genshin Impact's latest character, Albedo, could be the long-awaited savior of the Geo element. Even though he can be used as a main DPS character, his strongest role is probably support.
The latest five-star character before Albedo, Zhongli didn't really live up to the hype as the best Geo element character in the game. Despite having a cool kit, especially his Elemental Burst, he seems a bit too reliant on other characters at the moment.
Albedo is probably the strongest Geo character in the game right now, thanks to his ability to work in almost every team composition. His playstyle might seem a bit tricky for new players so that's is why we've prepared a guide on how to properly play and build while playing our little Chief Alchemist.
When it comes to utilizing his full potential in fights, the best way to do it is to play him as a supporting character. Placing and constantly repositioning your elemental skill, Solar Isotoma, while waiting for his burst to charge up is probably the best way to use him.
Even though he can't trigger any significant elemental reactions, the constant DPS and heal it provides will definitely help out in most of the fights.
When it comes to choosing a weapon, here are our best picks:
- 5-star weapon - Aquila Favonia
- 4-star weapon - Prototype Rancour, Festering Desire or Sacrificial Sword
For his artifacts, you can go for two build paths:
- 4-piece Arcanic Petra set
- 4-piece Noblesse Oblige set
- 2-piece Arcanic Petra, 2-piece Noblesse Oblige
All of these builds provide a boost to Albedo's supportive capabilities. If you want to use him as your main DPS, choosing Gladiator's Finale or Bloodstained Chivalry should do the job fo you.

Since he's a Geo character, the only reaction he can cause is Crystalize which means that you shouldn't be too worried that he won't fit your existing team composition. If you want to run two Geo characters to proc the elemental resonance, the best choice would probably be Ningguang.
When it comes to your main DPS, you can for Razor, Diluc or any other S tier DPS character in the game. For your healer role, you should go for Bennet, but any other healer will do just fine.
