Dungeons of Hinterberg, the newest action RPG from Curve Games, is a game that features a lot of mechanics seen in many RPG games, and even though it might look like nothing special, its gameplay is highly sophisticated.
Given that there are a lot of pieces of equipment you can come across by exploring the world, some of those pieces will be covered by goo—a magic substance of which all magic creatures are made. Such equipment will have reduced stats by half and will stay that way until you find a way to remove this goo.
If you're wondering where and how this goo can be removed, we have a guide that will give you all the answers you need regarding this topic.
How to remove goo from equipment
Once you find a piece of equipment covered by goo, you can equip it if you like, but it will not be as efficient as it is supposed to be. To remove this goo, you'll have to wait to level up your relationship with Klaus. Klaus is the guy who welcomed you first when you arrived in Hinterberg and who guided you through the first dungeon.
You must become buddies with him, meaning you have to reach a two-star relationship. If you do not know how, just hang out with him a couple of times until he invites you to dine with him. Accept the invitation and spend the evening with him. At the end of your conversation, he will tell you about gooed weapons and the means to remove it from them.
Once you have a gooed weapon, go to Klaus's office, that is located all the way to the south of Hinterberg. He works in tourist information, so you'll find him there.
