As you progress through the levels in ARC Raiders, you slowly unlock features like the Trials, which are in-game point-based weekly challenges that are refreshed every week. By earning three stars and points in these challenges, you can climb through the ranks to earn exclusive rewards.
Each week Embark adds a new set of challenges for players to complete and climb up their leaderboards. The Season 4 Week 9 trials are live now, and here's a comprehensive guide on how to earn 3 stars in this week's trials.
What are Trials in ARC Raiders?
Trials is the unofficial rank system in ARC Raiders, which is unlocked at player level 15. Once unlocked, players have to earn points by completing challenges every week and climb up the leaderboards. By earning stars, players can earn exclusive rewards.
The challenges are usually divided into three stages, which are marked by stars. By earning points you can get stars, and each challenge has a limit of 3 stars. For each star, players get a reward, with a total of three rewards for completing a challenge.
By earning points you can earn a position in the leaderboard of 100 players in the same rank. Getting into the top 20 of the leaderboard will earn you a 2x promotion to the next ranks. With 1x promotion allocated for the next 30 positions. The bottom 20 players of the leaderboard are demoted to the previous rank.
How to Get 3 Stars in Season 4 Week 9 Trials in ARC Raiders
Like every week, this week's trials have five challenges players must complete to climb up the leaderboard. These challenges are quite easy, but you have to follow some simple strategies to effectively finish them without wasting your important resources. Here's an in-depth guide on how to get 3 stars in Season 4 Week 9 trials in ARC Raiders:
Damage flying ARC enemies inside the Spaceport walls (Spaceport)
To complete this trial, you need to damage aerial ARC enemies inside the spaceport walls. While this is an easy challenge to complete, you need to pick the perfect spot to maximise your point potential.
The best place to complete this challenge would be to destroy flying ARCs from the roof of Arrival or Departure building. You can also utilise the launch tower and control tower roofs to make this challenge a tad bit easier, but be on guard, as both of these POIs feature heavy player traffic.
Search ARC Probes, Couriers and Assessors
To complete this challenge, you can play the Electromagnetic Storm and Close Scrutiny map conditions. During these map conditions, you will find ARC Probes, Couriers, and Assessors lying around the map.
Search Supply Drops
Searching Supply Drops might be the most annoying part of this week's trials. The best map for completing this challenge is Spaceport. The recommended way for this challenge is doing it solo, as it will be a guaranteed bloodbath in duos and trios. Here are the locations of the supply drops in Spaceport:
To complete this challenge, you'll need to search at least 3 supply drops. Just head to the supply drop call stations and press on the call button to bring a supply drop down. Once it reaches the ground, breach and search it to complete the challenge. You can also complete this challenge by searching for supply drops called by other players.
Damage Leapers
This challenge might sound like the hardest one to complete for most players but is quite easy if you know a simple strategy. To get 3 stars in this challenge, you just need to take out a single Leaper. The best way for dealing with Leapers is two wolfpack grenades or a hullcracker. The recommended way of taking out a Leaper is two wolfpack grenades, as it will minimise the chaos by a large margin.
Destroy Pops
Jump into a night raid mode in any map to get three stars in this challenge. You can spot Pops easily from miles away in the dark thanks to their glowing blue light. Taking them out is fairly easy even with light ammo. To make this challenge easier, use an Anvil or Ferro, as heavy ammo will guarantee an instant kill on the pop from long-range distances. You'll find Pops in most medium- to high-value loot areas of all maps.
Getting 3 stars with decent points in trials will guarantee you a spot in the top 20 of the leaderboard. Remaining in the top 20 will also allow you to jump 2 ranks once the trials are refreshed for next week.
