As you progress through the levels in ARC Raiders, you slowly unlock features like the Trials, which are in-game point-based weekly challenges that are refreshed every week. By earning three stars and points in these challenges, you can climb through the ranks to earn exclusive rewards.
Each week Embark adds a new set of challenges for players to complete and climb up their leaderboards. The Season 4 Week 1 trials are live now, and here's a comprehensive guide on how to earn 3 stars in this week's trials.
What are Trials in ARC Raiders?
Trials is the unofficial rank system in ARC Raiders, which is unlocked at player level 15. Once unlocked, players have to earn points by completing challenges every week and climb up the leaderboards. By earning stars, players can earn exclusive rewards.
The challenges are usually divided into three stages, which are marked by stars. By earning points you can get stars, and each challenge has a limit of 3 stars. For each star, players get a reward, with a total of three rewards for completing a challenge.
By earning points you can earn a position in the leaderboard of 100 players in the same rank. Getting into the top 20 of the leaderboard will earn you a 2x promotion to the next ranks. With 1x promotion allocated for the next 30 positions. The bottom 20 players of the leaderboard are demoted to the previous rank.
How to Get 3 Stars in Season 3 Week 8 Trials in ARC Raiders
Like every week, this week's trials have five challenges players must complete to climb up the leaderboard. These challenges are quite easy, but you have to follow some simple strategies to effectively finish them without wasting your important resources. Here's an in-depth guide on how to get 3 stars in Season 3 Week 8 trials in ARC Raiders:
Loot ARC Enemies
As the challenge suggests, this is a quite straightforward trial. To complete this trial, you simply need to search any downed ARC enemy. You can search ARC enemies downed by other players to complete the trial too.
Damage ARC Enemies Using Light-Impact Grenades
This might be a tricky trial for many players if you don't know what you are doing. From my experience, the best method for this challenge is to target large ARCs like the Bastion and Bombardier. Throw the light impact grenades on their body and try to not take any damage, you will easily complete this trial in no time.
Search Supply Drops
Searching Supply Drops might be the most annoying part of this week's trials. The best map for completing this challenge is Spaceport. The recommended way for this challenge is doing it solo, as it will be a guaranteed bloodbath in duos and trios. Here are the locations of the supply drops in Spaceport:
To complete this challenge, you'll need to search at least 3 supply drops. Just head to the supply drop call stations and press on the call button to bring a supply drop down. Once it reaches the ground, breach and search it to complete the challenge. You can also complete this challenge by searching for supply drops called by other players.
Open Containers Inside the Hotel (Riven Tides)
Riven Tides is the newest map added to ARC Raiders with the new Riven Tides update. To complete this challenge, head to the Hotel POI on the map. Once inside, search any lootable containers to complete this challenge. Almost all lootable containers will give you points once searched. To search additional containers, you can also head to the locked rooms in the Hotel.
Damage Turbines
Turbines are the newest large ARC enemy in ARC Raiders. You will find this new cone-shaped ARC in Riven Tides. It usually enters the map after 10 minutes have passed, around the 18-20 minute mark of the match. You will spot it entering the map from space. Find cover, especially in a room with no windows, then use weapons like Renegade, Jupiter, Aphelion, and Equaliser to deal damage to the Turbine.
Getting 3 stars with decent points in trials will guarantee you a spot in the top 20 of the leaderboard. Remaining in the top 20 will also allow you to jump 2 ranks once the trials are refreshed for next week.
