Anthem celebrates birthday with free gifts and 1.7.0 update

Anthem celebrated its first birthday three days ago, but Bioware have four reasons why you shouldn't hold this slight delay against them. Namely, players are getting four free and exclusive Empowered vinyls, and a fresh, new material.

Joining what's already becoming a long line of companies backing out of this year's Game Developers Conference, EA announced that they too will be cancelling participation in any official GDC events, advising their employees to do the same.

Bioware's decision to extend Anthem: Icetide through February means we're entering the last week, and perhaps symbolically - it's where it all began - in the Heart of Rage. Also, Bioware are being great sports about the Christmas decoration jokes.

Anthem: Icetide's Week 10 stronghold is The Temple of Scar, new lore story incoming

Anthem: Icetide is now in Week 10, where Bioware's weekly Community Cortex revealed this week's stronghold is The Temple of Scar. As for that lore story they've been promising, it has turned into a real Valentine's gift, literally.

Anthem to lose full seasons in favour of gameplay updates

Casey Hudson, a developer over at BioWare posted an announcement on the studio's blog saying that some changes are coming to the RPG title. The developer said that the team will, from now on, focus more on bringing the players more satisfying loot experience, better long-term progression and more.
