Opera got Xzibit to teach people how to pimp their Opera GX browser with a beautiful callback to the mid-2000s when there was a lot more unknown in the world and a lot more excitement about pushing boundaries.
Pimp My Ride used to be a show in that particular era, displaying creativity and technological advances of dubious usefulness but everyone loved it because the rides saw a monumental turn - from an old clanker to a dazzling display of gadgetry and tech.
It appears that Opera GX has something similar in mind with Mods, a new feature that will let people personalise the browser and extend its functionality.
In the true spirit of the 2000s, Xzibit showed up to teach people about pimping their own browsers, without needing an entire crew to do the job.
Opera GX was already highly modular but this new layer of customisation allows for goofier things like adding a selection of fart sounds to just about any action in the browser.
Naturally, there are more mods such as background music, themes, shaders and browser sounds that are not a result of passing the gases.
Some mods are all-in-one, offering a complete set of the things mentioned above but you can always toggle some parts you don't like off and vice versa.
