WRC 9 will be a launch title for Microsoft's next-gen consoles Xbox Series X and Series S. The devs also confirmed that the game has a performance mode that can push up to 120 FPS.
Today, World Rally Championship (WRC) 9 developers Kylotonn officially confirmed that their racing title will be available on Microsoft's next-generation consoles Xbox Series X and Series S on the launch date, next week.
If you are a rally fan and future Xbox Series X|S owner, you will be happy to hear that the game will come with several, major improvements that will offer a proper next-gen experience. First off, the game will support Smart Delivery, which means if you purchase the game on Xbox One, you'll receive the next-gen version at no additional cost.
WRC 9 will run at 60 FPS and 4K resolution but will also have a performance mode that can push up to 120 FPS. Here's the breakdown of all next-gen features:
- Smart Delivery
- Faster loading times
- 60 FPS and 4K Resolution
- Performance (120 FPS 1080p if your display allows 120Hz)
- Visual Fidelity (native 4K Resolution) Modes coming post-launch
It's worth mentioning that Smart Delivery on Xbox Series S works only if you previously purchased the game digitally. As you probably know, Series S is a digital-only console and you won't be able to use your physical edition on this, cheaper and smaller console.
Xbox Series X and Series S are officially launching on November 10, 2020.
