Vitality progress to Epicenter 2019 semifinals after beating Natus Vincere

Vitality have progressed to Epicenter 2019 semifinals after beating Natus Vincere 2-1 on Dust II, Inferno and Nuke. Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut had a big match with 60 kills.

The last major CS:GO tournament of 2019 has officially started yesterday - 17 December 2019. A couple of matches have already been played and it's Team Vitality that have been impressive in the early stages. The French beat EHOME in the first match to set up a duel against Natus Vincere. 

The match between Natus Vincere and Team Vitality saw the world's two best players battling out for the semifinals spot and this time, it was ZywOo who played better. The teams played on three maps - Dust II, Inferno and Nuke. Interestingly, none of them was close. Natus Vincere managed to win Dust II 16-4 while Team Vitality won both Inferno and Nuke with the same result 16-3.

The star of the series was Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut who had a big impact on his team's performance. The French sniper finished with an impressive, 60 kills and only 32 deaths. It's safe to say that he led his team to victory, which is expected from one of the world's best player.

With this win, Team Vitality progress to Epicenter 2019 semifinals, which will be played on Sunday, while the Russians will play again on Thursday, 19 December against either Heroic or EHOME.

At the time of writing, the second day of Epicenter 2019 has started. Evil Geniuses and forZe are playing their opening match while Virtus.Pro and mousesports start at  2:00 PM CET/5:00 AM PT. The day will be concluded with a winners match, which is set for  5:00 PM CET/8:00 AM PT.
