New Year's Eve is on the horizon and 2019 is coming to an end. We hope you had a good one. Goodbyes are often hard but fresh beginnings can (and do) take the edge off.
We have gathered here today to take a look at what awaits us in the inaugural year of the next decade. The 7 games we're most excited about - for Q1 of 2020 at least - are as follows and in no particular order:
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
First up we have the one our very own can't wait to get his hands on. Originally named Dragon Ball ProjectZ, the game was officially announced at E3 2019 and it will have the players relive a portion of Goku's life and death experiences.

Ori And The Will Of The Wisps
Yours truly loved Ori and the Blind Forest and this fragile heart is ready to be broken again in 2020. Announced at E3 2017, Ori and the Will of the Wisps will launch sporting some new movement abilities and autosaves.
Release date: 11 March 2020

Darksiders Genesis
Stadia and PC players already have access to this one, but we're here to show some love to the console version. Darksiders Genesis will launch on Valentine's Day in 2020 so keep in mind that you might be faced with an awkward decision.
Release date: 14 February 2020

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows
Bandai Namco's upcoming fighting game will, of course, feature the man himself - Saitama. Other familiar faces that have been confirmed include Genos, Hellish Blizzard, Mumen Rider, Speed-o'-Sound Sonic, among others.

Doom Eternal & Doom 64

Platform: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Half-Life: Alyx
Valve's will serve as a prequel to Half-Life 2. The title will also launch as a VR exclusive and feature gravity gloves.

Final Fantasy VII Remake
A remake of the 1997 game, the new Final Fantasy VII will first launch for its PlayStation 4 fans. The title will be a timed exclusive, however, and will become available to PC and Xbox One owners one year after the initial release.
